FREE DANCE CLASSES

Try ​a new class, a new form, or a new teacher with our free offerings this week!


Beginning I/II Jazz w/ Antoine Hunter
Sunday, April 28 | 10:00 - 11:30 am

Urban Jazz has no limits as it encompasses a wide variety of other styles. African Dance, ballet, modern, hip hop and more are infused together, along with American Sign Language. Be ready for sweaty good time! Dancers may participate in bare feet or wear jazz shoes.

Beginning I Ballet w/ Britt Juleen
Tuesday, April 30 | 10:00 - 11:30 am

This class is appropriate for dancers who have some familiarity with ballet technique. Sequences are still slow enough to refine technique but will be faster and more complex than Intro to Ballet. Each class includes barre and center work including adagio, waltzing and turning steps, and if time allows basic small and big jumps.

Beginning I Modern w/ Juliana Monin
Wednesday, May 1 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm 

A fun class designed for dancers new to modern.  With breath-based movement, floorwork, and exciting combination, this class will expose you to the basics of modern technique in a supportive environment!

Beginning Hip-Hop w/ Amanda Warhuus
Thursday, May 2 | 7:30 - 9:00 pm

Try hip-hop with Amanda, a local, freelance dancer and dance teacher in the Bay Area. She graduated from Berkeley High in 2014 and is a guest teacher and choreographer for the Berkeley High dance program for 2018-2019. She has been dancing for 12 years and got her dance training from New Style Motherlode International.
