The 2022 NFL draft starts this week, and the Cincinnati Bengals will have the 31st overall pick after their run to the Super Bowl last season. Unlike last year, there isn’t a clear two-man debate on who the Bengals should draft with their first-round selection. Instead, there are a lot of different ways that the Bengals could go when they finally get on the clock late Thursday night.

However, there is a lot more to the draft than the first round. So after the Bengals make one of the final picks Thursday night, there will be a lot more to unfold throughout the entire three-day process. The 2022 NFL Draft will begin on April 28 in Las Vegas, with the first round scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET. ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network will broadcast the 2022 NFL Draft over three days, with coverage concluding on April 30.

While the 2022 NFL Draft doesn't have as many high profile quarterbacks as last year, teams with multiple first-round picks, like the New York Jets and Giants, will look to rebuild with their selections. Several excellent pass rushers lead this year's draft class, including Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan, Kayvon Thibodeaux of Oregon, and Travon Walker of Georgia. The 2022 NFL Draft is finally here, and it is set to be one of the most unpredictable drafts in decades. With no quarterback as a consensus No. 1 pick, the draft will keep fans on their toes throughout the evening, which teams playing chess as to which player will be taken at certain spots. Eight teams have multiple first-round picks, which will make the draft even more intriguing as teams look to trade up (or back) in the opening round.

The most teams to make multiple first-round selections in a single draft since 1967 is six. Eight teams currently do not have a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, which would be a common-draft era record. This draft could also see seven wide receivers taken in the first round, which would match the record set in 2004. Aidan Hutchinson, Trayvon Walker, and Kayvon Thibodeaux are contenders to be selected No. 1 overall and all of them could go in the top three -- which would mark the first time in the common-draft era that three defensive linemen were the top-three selections.

The 2022 NFL Draft kicks off on April 28 at 8 p.m. ET with round one. Rounds two and three will air on April 29 starting at 7 p.m. ET. NFL Draft coverage will conclude with rounds four through seven on April 30, starting at 12 p.m. ET. Who will go No. 1 overall? The 2022 NFL draft begins today with the first round of selections as college football players from all over the country with dreams of going pro hope to hear their names called by commissioner Roger Goodell tonight in Las Vegas. The draft kicks off starting on Thursday, April 28 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET with a live broadcast on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.

Will Oregon Ducks star lineman Kayvon Thibodeaux become a Top 10 selection? Stay with us here tonight, and throughout the draft, as we’ll have all the latest draft picks, trade news and more as we track everything that happens with our live updates. You can also find out how to follow along with all the coverage, the draft schedule, pick order and more provided below. This time around, the Kansas City Chiefs could pick as many as 12 players. That would be the most since general manager Carl Peterson’s final draft in 2008, when the team’s selections included Glenn Dorsey, Branden Albert, Brandon Flowers, Jamaal Charles, Brandon Carr and Barry Richardson.

NFL Network’s television coverage will be anchored by Rich Eisen, Daniel Jeremiah and Charles Davis, while Mel Kiper, Jr. and Louis Riddick will anchor ESPN’s broadcast. ABC’s Thursday and Friday coverage (available locally on KMBC/9) will be anchored by Rece Davis, Sam Ponder, Jesse Palmer and Robert Griffin III. ABC and ESPN will simulcast on Saturday. The 2022 NFL Draft is here and is bound to be another year of selection shake-ups and ceremonial boos toward NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The three-day event will take place at the heart of the Strip in Las Vegas, after its in-person 2020 NFL Draft slated for Sin City was canceled due to COVID-19. The 2022 Draft has one of the weakest quarterback classes in recent years, so edge rushers are expected to take center stage with Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson, Georgia’s Travon Walker and Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux all expected to be targeted high up.

Five years ago, we made the commitment to spice up the annual NFL draft for everyone in the Bolts From The Blue community by bringing you a live show in which we could all hang out together and enjoy the most-exciting night on the NFL offseason calendar. This year marks our sixth live draft show and, like we’ve strived to do with each new year, we’re hoping to bring you the best one yet. The first round of the draft begins tonight at 5:00 p.m. PT. Matthew, Garrett, Jamie, Daniel, and I will kickoff the show thirty minutes prior at 4:30 p.m. so we can hit the ground running once the chimes start coming in. I absolutely cannot wait to see you all in the chat tonight. Let’s make it a night to remember — and hopefully the Chargers can do the same.

So I’m fascinated to see what they do if those two are indeed off the board when the Vikings are on the clock. Do they nab Washington corner Trent McDuffie? Try to trade back? Or pick the best player available if someone like safety Kyle Hamilton or edge rusher Jermaine Johnson is still there? I expect the Cowboys to stay at pick 24 and draft the best player available on their board. That could be a player that slips to them that they weren’t expecting, like CeeDee Lamb two years ago, but most likely it will be one of these four: Texas A&M guard Kenyon Green, Boston College guard Zion Johnson, Arkansas WR Treylon Burks or Ohio State WR Chris Olave. All four were on the Cowboys’ top 30 official pre-draft visitors list. Dallas would be just fine with another instant impact defender, like Micah Parsons last year, but the odds are in favor of offense being addressed in the first round. Defenders to keep an eye on: Utah LB Devin Lloyd and Georgia DT Jordan Davis.
