COVID-19 POLICIES

SUMMARY

Note that masks are required for all people entering our main facility and youth satellite locations. Masks are also strongly suggested for all outdoor classes.

This COVID-19 policy is designed to be as inclusive as possible while addressing the realities of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant. In developing the policy, we consulted the CDC guidance for schools, legal counsel, our insurance broker, our own faculty and staff and numerous other community-based dance centers. Please note that this policy is subject to change at any time based on the rates of COVID-19 and Delta Variant transmission in the City of Berkeley and County of Alameda.

AGES 12+ STAFF, STUDENTS, RENTERS

SADC requires all adult students, renters and resident artists to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to protect each other and our staff. A limited number of exemptions will be offered in order to maintain a critical mass of vaccinated people in the building. Non-vaccinated students will be strongly encouraged to participate in SADC’s online or outdoor offerings rather than attending class indoors. For any exemptions requested for medical, religious or other reasons, participants will need to complete an online form detailing the request and have a follow-up appointment with the Executive Director.
