Registration Information

 

Thank you for enrolling in the youth program at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center. Classes begin on Monday, June 21th for the summer 2010 semester.

Please note the following:

· CREDITS: If you have a credit on file with us, please call us to register and apply the credit to your total tuition.

·FEES: Please note that there is a $3.00 per transaction convenience fee to register online. There is no fee to register by cash or check.

 

· AUDITIONS: Classes by audition only are Ensemble Ballet, Hip Hop Performance Workshop, Youth Ensemble, Teen Modern II and III. Call Jill Randall, Program Director, to inquire.

· LIVE OAK PARK: We are offering NEW modern dance classes for ages 3-5 at Live Oak Park in conjunction with the City of Berkeley.

· OTHER NEW CLASSES:

  • Saturday Teen Ballet II class at 12:30 pm;
  • Additional Teen Hip Hop I class on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm
  • Child Modern II classes with April Taylor Wednesdays at 3pm AND at 5pm
  • There are several new sections of Modern Dance I , II and III at the Center

PAYMENT

Families have two payment options:

  1. Pay in full upon registration or on the first day of class online (credit or debit) or in person (cash or check) or by mail (check).

REFUNDS

  • Families may request a refund for tuition paid within the first 3 weeks of classes. No refunds will be given after the three-week period. The last day to request a refund is SATURDAY, JULY 10th.
  • There is a non-refundable $5 registration fee included in the cost of each class. A full re-fund will be given less the $5 fee and the cost of each class already attended ($13/class).
  • If a student decides to drop a class after July 10th, credit can be issued and used toward future tuition payments.
  • ABSENCES: No refunds will be given for elective absences (i.e. vacations, play dates, etc); students are welcome to contact us to arrange for a make-up class.
  • ILLNESS: If your child or teen needs to miss class due to illness or injury, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make arrangements for a make-up class or other alternative.

SCHOLARSHIPS

There are a limited number of need-based scholarships available each semester. Please fill out a “Scholarship Request Form” at the front desk or e-mail info@shawl-anderson.org to request a form via e-mail. Program Director Jill Randall will follow up with all scholarship applicants. PLEASE NOTE: Scholarship request forms are due Saturday, May 15th, 2010 (We will consider requests received after that date but will give priority to those who apply by December 11th.)
