Accessibility Policy
This website is intended to meet the Priority 1 and 2 requirements for level AA compliance of the Web Accessibility Initiative's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as well as U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines.
Site content has been created using semantic markup and validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict. Stylesheets control layout and presentation. Page content is organized consistently into the following sections:
- a header bar with links
- a navigation bar with links to main site content
- a main content area
- a sidebar with additional links as necessary
The header bar and navigation bar may be skipped by using the "skip navigation" link at the top of each page. Additional "skip" links have been placed throughout the site to bypass long sections of content or links.
The following accesskeys have been set for all pages on the site.
- "H" - Home page
- "C" - Child and Teen class information page
- "A" - Adult class information page
- "S" - Studio Rental information page
- "R" - Residency information page
- "B" - Bay Area dance resources information page
- "T" - General information page
To activate access keys, press ALT + accesskey on Windows operating systems or control + accesskey on Macintosh operating systems. Support for accesskeys varies by browser - consult your browser help files for details.
